Printer installation process on Windows

Step 1: install the printer drivers

First you need to install the drivers on your computer using the following link:

Extract the ZIP archive downloaded in the previous step

In the extracted folder is another folder entitled « UPD4PCL6Win81P_2101MU ».

Enter it by double-clicking and double-clicking on « setup64.exe ».

You must accept the licence agreement.
Click on « Install (Manual setting) »

Click on « Add to list », and a new line will be added to the table.
Tick the newly added line and fill in the following information:

• • Queue name : Printer_Vortex_Salle_XX (X being the floor on which the printer is located)

Study room E2 Printer_Vortex_Salle_E2
Study rooms E4 Printer_Vortex_Salle_E4
Study room F7 Printer_Vortex_Salle_F7
Once this has been done, click on « Port settings… »
Tick the "IP address/Host name" option, and enter one of the addresses below to define the printer you wish to install
Printer Internet address
Study room E2 VORTLOCAPRIN001.fmel.ch
Study room E4 VORTLOCAPRIN002.fmel.ch
Study room F7 VORTLOCAPRIN003.fmel.ch

Then confirm by clicking OK, and click Next in the previous window.

Confirm the installation by clicking « Install »

Once the installation is complete, you can print directly from your computer.

Repeat the procedure to install the second printer if necessary.
